Grand Rapids, Mich. - The Panthers Men's Basketball team will have an even bigger taste of Flint talent as they welcome the signing of Lonnie Fairfax of Livonia Clarenceville. Lonnie becomes the second player from the Flint area to sign with the Panthers for the 2008-2009 season.

Fairfax comes to DU after a stellar high school career in which he led his team to an 18-3 record and a Metro Conference Championship as a Senior. He was also named Co-MVP of the conference after garnering 1st Team All-Conference Honors as well as 2nd team All-Observerland.

Lonnie currently holds the school record for assists in a season, assists in a game and is the leader in assists in a career. Fairfax served as Team Captain during his Junior and Senior seasons.

Lonnie, the son of Leon Fairfax, will major in Sport Management at Davenport.
