Grand Rapids, Mich. - After falling out of the Top 25 poll for the first time this season, the Davenport Men's Golf Team posted an impressive victory at the Region VIII Tournament. The win vaulted the Panthers back into the National Picture as they finished the season ranked #19. Davenport will be making its first appearance in the National Tournament after posting a 911 team score at Rock Hollow in Peru, IN. The win was highlighted by three Panthers golfers earning All-Region honors. Freshman Kevin Palmer (223), Freshman Zac Bested (230) and Junior Adam Thomas (231) all finished in the Top 10 at the Regional Tournament and will lead the Panthers into action from May 13-16. The National Tournament will be held at Indiana National Golf Club in Plymouth, IN and the tournament, which features 28 teams from around the country, will make a 54-hole cut down to the Top 17 teams.
