Grand Rapids, Mich. - After winning their first ever National Championship a month ago, the individual awards continue to pile up. Adam Thomas and Bobby Collar headline a group of Panthers hockey players named to the ACHA All-Region and All-American Teams released today. Forward Adam Thomas (Kentwood, MI) earned 1st Team ACHA DII Honors and Forward Bobby Collar (Brighton, MI) was named to the 2nd Team. Head Coach Paul Lowden who guided his team to its 3rd straight appearance in the Final Four and earned the school's first ever National Championship was named the Coach of Year for 2007-2008. The Panthers were also well represented on the Central Region's All Region Team as Thomas and Collar were joined by defensiveman Bill McSween (Redford, MI) on the 1st Team. Thomas was named the Central Region's MVP and Lowden earned the top coaching honor. Davenport will look to defend its GMHL and ACHA Titles next year. Look for the schedule to be released very soon. |
